Like pillows to a white couch.
Jewelry to the little black dress.
Ribbons, bows & tags can transform a basic package into something special!
Today, I am joining with some of my friends to bring you gift wrapping ideas.
I am not a big fan of loud paper prints. Kinda like my clothes, I tend toward solids. What I really like is…
Well, I really like “brown paper packages tied up with string”. ( got you humming I bet! )
So I am going to show you three special ways to tie up a brown paper package.
Package #1 – is a bit flashy in a traditional sort of way.
It is made with this: Ecru & metallic string/yarn & gold tulle from Joanne’s, a spray painted Michael’s wooden star & mini ornaments.
Package #2 – is romantic, old fashioned with a bit of sparkle.
It is made with this: Christmas stickers I got 1/2 price last January, tags from the Container Store, mini paper doilies, torn cotton strips, glitter & glue.
Package #3 – is all about the three R’s and is a kid at heart.
It is made with this: A green scouring pad cut into the shape of a Christmas tree, red baker’s twine & some gold tulle ( leftover from package #1! )
This repurposed package topper would be great on a foodie gift like this….and then the cook can use it for a bit of scrubbing up!
I love how ‘accessorizing’ a plain package can change the whole look.
Think I need new earrings!
Visit my friends & see how they wrapped it up…
