As much as I love it, Christmas is a lot of work.
So all I want for Christmas is more time. Hope you got that in your bag Santa!
If I do get my wish, I would use some of the time for a soak in my really gorgeous free standing tub. (in ten years I have taken one bath, what???)
It just sits there looking real good. A shame! Here are some lovely similar tubs ~ hope these will get more use.
If I do get more time, I’m jumping in, but before I do, maybe just a few renovations…
It has been ten years after all. Lots of new innovations in the bathroom scene since then. Decor Planet has a wonderful selection of state of the art fixtures.
Oh, and maybe I’ll just whip with a rustic bath board so I can rest my book while I soak.
Heck, maybe I will never soak, but I LOVE my tub any way.
If I did renovate, more likely than the soak, I would install a dual flush toilet.
Without getting into too much detail, a powerful dual flush toilet uses less water every time & that is a good thing. You can even chose by gpf (gallon per flush) ~ that was not happening 10 years ago!
We have 2 pedestal sinks with some “counter” space around the sink, but not much. Always a bit of a balancing act with my makeup basket. So I would probably choose a set up with more space on the sides.
Or maybe a signature piece with storage as well. Something that looks like a piece of furniture and has plenty of room on top & below.
I’d also install a wall mount makeup mirror, even though seeing really clearly 10 years ago may have been better then now. I love the look (excuse the pun) of the extendable mirrors.
This post is my “mood board” for a state of the art bathroom with a vintage vibe. Hope it has given you some new bathroom ideas.
It is sourced from Pinterest & Decor Planet – you like it? Click on the pics for the links or follow my Pinterest board to see these & many more modern meets vintage scenes.
Of course I have a board on it! ‘Cause, a girl like me just never knows when a renovation may present itself…
Thank you to Decor Planet for inspiring these bathroom updates. ( with all this talk about tubs & such, maybe, just maybe… I’ll grab the bubbles! )
