Nine Ways to Freshen Up Your Home
First – SHOP YOUR HOUSE ~ easy, fun and super cheap-o !
When you move things around and from room to room the pieces take on new life. Try it – grab a chair, pillows, a rug or anything not nailed down and move it!
Second – Add an Herb ~ buy a small potted herb at the market.
Gussy up its appearance with fabric & twine. Set it on your counter for an organic pop of green, the scent & to add to your cooking. Love multi-purpose decor! For the tutorial click here.
Third – Top with a Cloche ~ put a cloche over a plant, a vignette, something very special, holiday decor and more.
Anything you want to highlight gets the spotlight under a cloche. Cloches make everything look better. I want a life sized one to get under!
Anita rocks at using a cloche – see what I mean here.
Learn to make a cloche from a plain glass vase here.
Fourth – force paperwhite bulbs. The scent is divine and it is lovely to have blooming flowers inside this time of year. Learn how here.
Fifth – (my favorite) change your lamp bulbs to pink incandescent (while you can! HURRY!) Click here for an affiliate link to the bulbs.
Sixth – use trays in your decor. Functional and pretty, a tray can be used as intended, to group a vignette, hung on the wall or piled in a basket.
Seventh – spray paint a small piece of furniture.
Our new favorite spray paint is a chalk based matt spray. Check out the affiliate link here.
Eight – change your pillows for a fast & fresh new look. You can even no sew them with this tutorial.
Nine – add house plants. Nothing sweeps away the winter blahs faster than a healthy green plant in a pretty pot.
How easy was that? Fresh & fabulous!
