If I ever had a pied a’ terre it would be in London…
Not Paris, not New York…London.
I got to thinking about this after London Granite called asking me to to write a post for their company.
You see, London holds wonderful memories for me. I lived in London’s Notting Hill. My flat, #6 Colville Terrace, was right off Portobello Road.
The carnival of the Portobello Road Antique Market was steps out my door!! That is a bit of heaven on earth isn’t it? Every weekend I trolled the length of that market scooping up some of the best vintage treasures I have ever spied.
The call from London Granite set me off imagining fixing up a little flat in W11 and slipping back there now & again.
Inside might look something like this ~ boheme’ meets farmhouse, meets now…
Of course, being me, I would want to renovate my little home away from home. I would use lots of creamy whites, cararra marble and design a fresh farmhouse kitchen with slate counter tops.
Here is a slate from London Granite that I think would be perfect atop that counter.
Of course, I would first renovate the bathroom so I could have a long soak after a longer day trolling the market.
For my UK readers, or anyone contemplating a pied a’ terre, in London, click to read about Marble Worktops London from London Granite. For the rest of us, let’s imagine our own pied a’ terre. Where would it be, what would it look like…what would you be like there…?
While you are thinking, I’ll put the kettle on so we can share a cupp’a. Then you can tell me about your pied a’ terre…and if it is in London, let’s meet at the market!

~ I was compensated by London Granite for this post, however all opinions, strolls down memory lane and day dreaming of a pied a’ terre are utterly my own. (which I share happily with you )
