Waking at 5 am still with visions of ironstone, rusty metal, burlap ribbons, grain sacks & lovely faded charms dancing in my head. I shake off slumber & get ready fast. It is the Remnants of the Past Vintage Show and I am going! Take a peek…
That was Saturday morning and I want to share my adventure with you…
We, Dana, Cheryl & I, drove 3.5 hours arriving before the doors opened. Lining up with kindred spirits all anxious to begin the hunt for treasure. We waited in anticipation of the eye candy, inspiring vignettes and the perfect something we didn’t know we needed.
Need is a term that should not be bandied about at an event like this. The choices at Remnants are not about need and that is part of the fun!
Remnants of the Past happens twice a year & I go only once ~ so I buy with much more abandon than I do normally. “Snooze you lose” is good advice for shoppers to heed. Love it? Buy it or someone else will. Someone else like maybe…Rachel Ashwell! ( pictured with a vendor of shabby fabulousness via Facebook )
Oh yeah, the Queen of all that is Shabby & Chic was shopping shoulder to shoulder with us. This is what I saw her buy…a glass buoy?
What is that girl up to now? The shabby fisherman shack look?
So many bits & bobs, furniture, clothes & more to choose from. From farm house to Paris apartment & everything in between there is something for every vintage lover. Here are the gems I scooped up. I can’t wait to find spots for it all. I promise to share with more house tour posts soon.
