Blink… That was how fast my week went by. How about you?
Lots of it was spent “backstage”improving my blog so YOU have a faster & better experience here. I am feeling the speed & hope you are too!
On Tuesday the mailman came with a big package. A Spring package from my Mom! Look what I got ~ these blooming boots! LOVE!!
Don’t be green eyeing my floral wellies, you can get your own pair at Victorian Trading Company.
Wearing my boots made me feel happy, but all that techy blog work made me hanker for some comfort foods.
I came upon this recipe for Homemade Marinara on Style Me Pretty and gave it a try. You should too. There is an easy secret ingredient that you probably have in your pantry that really gives it a deep flavor. Make a big batch & share in cute jars like these.
You need something to go along with all that sauce. These garlic knots from Damn Delicious will fill that need perfectly.
Can’t you get a waft of the garlic just from looking at this photo. Damn good photo Damn Delicious! Pin perfection~almost scent-o-round!
Well, speaking of Pinterest…the Pinterest Board of Interest this week is Fete curated by Beth Kirby of Local Milk. It is filled with mostly cakes – but not just cakes, the most beautiful cakes you have ever seen! Like this one…
I happened upon Beth’s blog some months ago and was immediately drawn in. Beth, may I say this Beth, is not for the casual heart. She’s intense and one talented photographer. Check out one of Beth’s own cakes ~ a work of art!
Follow Beth on Pinterest and see what I see.
We made some great progress on the ‘mood’ for Lara’s room re-do. As I mentioned, it will be boho meets vintage charm & modern whimsy. A tall order, but I think we can pull it off.
Everybody loves the dandelion fabric so that will make the cut for sure. Thanks for all your suggestions!
Dandelions are a favorite of Lara’s. When she was little she couldn’t say dandelion, so we called them “make a wishes”.
And make wishes we did!
Now I wish you a wonderful weekend!
