When does 7 years seem like 7 days?
When you get together with life long friends who really know you even though you don’t see each other for something like… 2,555 days (but who is counting!)
I had just that time warp experience in Santa Fe ~ where I met my roommates from college.
Four very formative years together seals a bond that defies time or distance.
Throw in a wonderful resort, a hike, spa shopping & margaritas and that is one special weekend!
La Posada Resort & Spa was so very lovely. We highly recommend it for a stay in Santa Fe. Nice room, huh?
We hiked – you need a “wellness activity” while in Santa Fe, as it is all about that….and to counter balance the margaritas.
Bandelier National Park has the perfect hike. Not too strenuous & with “cave dwellings” ~as you can see not too roomy, so nice to get back to the resort!
Then spent a wonderful afternoon enjoying the art & shopping on Canyon Road. Over 100 galleries & unique shops. Look what I picked up there…
…yes, it is a California license plate dust pan – I really needed it!
The Inn of the Anasazi, right off the main square, was wonderful for dinner and a very nice place to stay as well.
Saying goodbye was hard, but we vowed not to let that many days pass again! Plans for next year are already in the works.
Back home the graduation preparations were already in full swing. The floral wreath I made for Ava’s ceremony was so dainty looking on her head.
One graduation in the morning, one the evening such a busy day! So good thing…
…the Restoration Hardware catalogues came in the mail ’cause I didn’t have time for the gym all week. Just carrying the 15 pound 13 volume set around the house could be a great workout!
Have you gotten the THUD at your door? What’s up with that RH? Despite the “green” initiatives they profess, I’m not too sure we need 15 pounds of RH delivered. There is the internet after all. Also, kinda daunting to look at. What do you think?
Let’s all head to Santa Fe for another girl’s weekend! We can discuss the catalogue, life, kids, beauty products, food, family. ALL the important & not so important details of life.
Girl friends are sooooo special! Here’s to my old ones, new ones, virtual ones & future ones ~ Thank you!
