This week brought the first official day of Spring!
So let’s shake out the winter cobwebs, open the windows wide & breathe ~ even if it is still chilly where you are.
My week was a lot about “Spring”. I kicked off the week getting ready for a big Spring blog tour. (Did you make my recipe yet?) If you missed it or any of the posts click here.
Went on 2 school field trips back to back. One to a Spring choir festival & the other to Descanso Botanical Gardens. The voices were fantastic and the garden awash in color. Throughout the post are photos of the garden trip.
If you are on Pinterest…is anybody who reads blogs not on Pinterest?….check out this Spring board I stumbled upon. If you aren’t on Pinterest – wait let me process that – hmmmm, ok, well, if you aren’t on Pinterest… (Well that just makes me sad, cause you should be.)
Get on there, make an account follow me & follow this board. You will be glad you did. Just take it easy – don’t fall down the rabbit hole ( more spring references! ). Moderation in all things, even Pinterest – especially Pinterest.
This week wasn’t all tulips & pinning, I bought new jeans from Madewell. I LOVE Madewell. It is…well, they say it best in the catalogue ( even though they purposefully cut off the words) …
Who doesn’t want to be at least one of those things?
Madewell jeans are truly flattering. I am petite so it is hard to find great jeans without the need to alter.
These worked for me right off the rack & are cool, effortless, sexy, tomboyish, unexpected ( in that the fit so well! ) artful ( sure, why not ) and from the Spring 2014 collection.
To make my week extra special, I received a present for no reason except that a friend thought of me. Isn’t that the best reason of all for a gift?
Only a true friend would know when she happened upon this old, faded volume that it would make me smile from ear to ear. Artfully enhanced with a bit of twine. The perfect gift!
I have to look up Orthography. Tell me do you know what it is?
Hope you had a wonderful week too!
