There is something magical that happens when you come upon a kindred spirit on the web.
Especially when that kindred spirit is a home blogger.
A Modern Farmhouse Tour
You get to know them thru their words, their images and their spaces.
You get to poke around in a kinda intimate way, unlike when you met someone at a party or such.
I have friends I see in person, yet have never been in their homes. Friends I have never laid eyes on I can tell you the whole layout of their house.
I met Annie Diamond of Most Lovely Things on Instagram – a source of much ‘kindredness’ for me.
Instantly I knew we could be friends … the east and west coast living, the penchant for brownstones, the stacks of white platters, being creators & seekers.
I sensed if we lived on the same coast at the same time we would be friends in the flesh too.
I think it would be nice to chat with Annie over coffee in NYC or lunch with her at Malibu Farms. Would be interesting to know more about the inspiration for her modern farmhouse decor and how she came to be a blogger.
Annie seems like the kind of person there would always be more to talk about with ~ smart, interesting, living a life of her own creation.
Maybe coffee in NYC is best, as Annie knows her way around NYC for coffee.
Follow her NYC coffee shop instagram account like I do. Then you can virtually have coffee with Annie along with me.
Here is a snippet from the about page of Annie’s blog that made me say…me too, me too! At that time, even the bit about the plumber ~ think we are beyond that now – fingers crossed!
When I’m not at home painting, making something, digging in the dirt or calling the plumber I’m out and about exploring new things. I am inspired by everything I see.
Next best thing to meeting Annie in person, she has graciously agreed to let me share her modern farmhouse home with you today.
Each image here is by Annie, of her Connecticut home or her visits to NYC.
Built in 1900 and decorated by Annie, I love her home’s vintage soul and clean lines.
I am inspired by Annie and know you will be too!
