Christmas with Balsam Hill

It is official, I've converted...

I am now a faux tree person.

As a gardener cutting down a tree that takes about 10 years to get 7 feet tall always stung a little, but the tradition and the look won out year after year.

We even got a balled tree one year, I say we, but it was me.  Then Peter & my Dad carried it up the steps to our house.  That giant ball of dirt must have weighed 500 pounds!  Then there was a giant ball of dirt in my house!  Nice idea to plant the tree and all, but never again.

Christmas with Balsam Hill

This year our tree arrived on the porch accompanied by a storage case, easy to attach stand and gloves to wear while fluffing.  No cutting, no hauling & definitely no giant ball of dirt

And what's more ... it was pre-lit!

Nobody likes sorting out the tangle of strands, not to mention putting the lights on the tree.  My family always mysteriously disappeared until it was time for the ornaments.  If you are also the light person, convert with me!

Well this year, they barely had time to get into the room, let alone leave it, before I had our Balsam Hill tree up, lit and fluffed!

We have the Saratoga Spruce and when I tell you it looks like it grew in a forest, I mean it!

Then out came the ornaments, which arrive in their own lovely storage boxes.

The tree branches are not only remarkably realistic, they are sturdy and bendable.

Tucked into the branches are flower and berry "picks". These are the beautiful gold & champagne colored flowers berries you see throughout the tree.

Picks are such a wonderful way to add depth, dimension and texture to your tree decor.

The topper I chose is SOOOO stunning and it adds just about another two feet to the tree.

From the top to the bottom I am delighted with our Balsam Hill tree.

I always heard Balsam Hill are the best quality and realistic looking faux Christmas trees and I am hear to tell you the rumors are true!

Speaking of bottom, the Mongolian tree skirt blankets the tree in a fresh and elegant way.

I might wear it as a cape after Christmas as I know I am not going to want it put it away!  Seriously, I am thinking about how I can use it after Christmas.  Maybe drape it over the back of a loveseat or sofa.

I am actually writing this post in the glow of my Balsam Hill tree.  We will enjoy it this season and for many many to come.

I am already relishing the thought that I don't have to drag a dried up tree thru my house to the curb!  Yet another happy Christmas thought!

Be Merry,

xx Kelly xx
