Decorating with Apples - bring in a bushel of Fall
My decorating style is definitely influenced by nature.I love bringing the outdoors in and celebrating the seasons with, well…. what's in season.Decorating with nature's bounty aside from being timely, is inexpensive and…edible!Like my enamelware bowl full of apples by the door. Grab & go as the girls are off to school. Leaves me re-arranging & re-filling, but that's ok.I bought 3 bags. Green Granny Smiths, mini Macintosh and Gala. Cost minimal (under $12.00). Decorating potential huge!Across the mantle for a simple display.Don't like to over do my living room mantle.I want the painting to take center stage. (painting by Max Moran)Or as above, a simple vignette with vintage books, a found feather & a crimson Mac.A vase of mums with an apple adds to the autumn feel.Or how about this early autumn display...Any way you slice it…( did you think I could resist that? ) apples make an inexpensive style statement for Fall.Pile them in a bowl as I did & you have decorated for fall in 30 seconds. And you can grab a few for school lunches!Hope you had a wonderful long weekend,** Kelly **
