Here summer is leaving in a blaze of heat, but even though the temps are still high, I feel the fall coming on...
The days are getting a smidge shorter with every passing 24 hours.
There was a nip in the air this morning and now my patio is decked out to welcome the new season.

I cleaned up the patio yesterday in almost 100 degree weather. Phew!
Today when I woke to decorate and snap the photos for you it was actually cool. Mother Nature must have been watching and decided to cooperate.
I am transitioning to fall like nature is, a bit slowly.
Using pillows, a big cozy gray & white buffalo check blanket, white pumpkins in a large galvanized tub and sunflowers in a fabulous planter.

My fall patio started with this fantastic BIG planter.
Add to that the large galvanized tub.
I am using it to hold my white pumpkins, but it is perfect for keeping drinks cold (it even has an attached bottle opener), as a planter, to hold pool towels etc. A very useful piece of decor!
Toss in a queen size gray & white buffalo check cotton blanket and you are ready for the drop in temperature.
Pillows are a must for patio decor. Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart has so many pillow choices.
I used two of their off-white sweater pillows for texture and three of my new favorite, the Fleur pillow.
This pillow has a versatile neutral background with an interesting organic floral inspired design in the foreground.
The piece that changed the look of my patio the most is the new coffee table.
It is the Nola coffee table in brushed gold. I replaced a giant, metal scrolled table with this sleeker table and I love the freshness it brings to this area. At only $80, this table is a steal!
