Styled & Set - Grey and Copper for fall
A bit of a tweak on the the traditional October colors, today I share with you my grey and copper table.
It all started with a placemat and end up like this...
The inspiration was a grey buffalo check placemat…
Grey and Copper Table Decor for Fall
Come on into the kitchen...
I love setting a beautiful table in my kitchen, as it is my favorite place to be.
The whites & greys I have throughout my house don't lend themselves to the traditional autumnal colors, but that doesn't stop me from decorating for the season ~ just makes me a bit more creative!
This year, I decided on grey and copper as my October palette. A nod to the black & orange of Halloween without going all the way there.
As I mentioned, the palette of my table began with a grey buffalo check placemat.
I am a bit enamored of buffalo checks, as you might have noticed from my blog & YouTube videos. I find them classic, charming and just the right touch of whimsy.
In my fall bin I found the little pumpkins I made from scrubber pads. The copper caught my eye and soon the table ideas came together.
Get my little copper pumpkin tutorial HERE.
These little pumpkins are fun decor and really shine as place cards. Just add a tag as I did. The tag I used a plain manilla one spray painted silver.
Speaking of spray paint, I sprayed the leaves black & gold. These were part of a pack of those really inexpensive orange & yellow fall leaves. Spray painting is as close to performing magic as I will ever get!
Each place setting has:
a thrifted silver tray as a charger
layered plates in cream and milk glass
a striped napkin - see HERE
a DIY copper scrubber pad pumpkin
a black leave
a sprig of seeded eucalyptus
The center is, I must admit, a faux I sprayed copper ( more magic! ) .
Those gold leaves I mentioned, and sprayed, are tucked under the pumpkin along with real sage green eucalyptus leaves.
The pumpkin sits on a square milk glass plate on top of a stack of French books.
Flanking the pumpkin is a pair of vintage silver plate sherbet cups filled with flowers and I placed a pair of antlers encircling the cups.
My flatware is gold. I LOVE this flatware. You can find it HERE.
I also LOVE mixing metals in my decor. Today we have copper, silver and gold!
I really enjoy pulling out my vintage pieces to create unique tablescapes.
The milk glass, gold rimmed plates, French book, sherbet cups and the glasses are all vintage.
