Bookcase Styling for Spring
I am not neutral about Spring.
I am neutral this Spring.
White, ecru, creamy ironstone, tarnished silver & a touch of bling is the theme of my bookcase these days.
You've seen my bookcase decked out for Fall & Christmas. Now Spring!
The advice I shared with you back in the Fall holds true no matter the season or the decor.
Advice for Styling a Bookcase
- have strong foundational elements
- have a theme & thread it throughout
- use color & texture
- have a grounding spot where the eye can rest
- toss in something unexpected for drama

Some foundational elements you'll see carried thru from season to season.
Like the ironstone hot water bottle I picked up on my hiking trip to England. It is perfect on a shelf, as it is meant to lie down on its side. So it will stay put unless it ever gets really cold here in California!
Some new old things on my shelves I picked up on that day I was very very lucky.
The number of white pitchers alone that I scored that fine day are an embarrassment of riches!
Even worked in the topless tureen filled with the yarn (texture) from my Easter decor.
I move things around & re-purpose stuff all the time. New look no cost ~ nice!
The bling (unexpected drama) I mentioned comes by the way of the lovely gift I received ~ coral dipped in German glitter. Everyone needs one of these.
I really enjoy styling this bookcase. It is a manageable size, a clean slate, costs me nothing to do and renders big impact in the family room.
Use my tips for styling your bookcases and you will be very happy with the results.
Click thru to my Fall & Christmas versions in case you missed them the first time around. The Fall post has all my advice wrapped up in a fun read, so have a look there for sure.
