The sleeping porch at P. Allen Smith's Moss Mountain Farm.

Can you just feel the gentle breeze coming off the river & gardens and enveloping you while you dream...?

Your dreams might take you from these beds to Allen's garden beds, which, as I showed you, are gardens of one's dreams after all.  Click HERE to see the exterior of the house & surrounding gardens.

Nap time is over, let's stretch our legs and have a stroll around the house.

Before we head downstairs let's peek in at the guest room and third floor.

Each room is tastefully & artfully appointed.  Every piece of furniture and art exudes approachable luxury.  Classic, curated and yet, so comfortable.

The third floor has been the playroom and bedroom for nieces and nephews.

A beautiful early evening light streamed through the windows filling the space with warmth during our visit.

Let's head down the two flights of stairs to the main floor...

Shiny, crisp green apples fill silver bowls in the entry.

The swan painting is of a grand scale and, like all the other art in the house is reflective of the life style, inhabitants and history of the farm.

Moss Mountain Farm living room http://mysoulfulhome.comOh look who is in the living room, Rhoda of Southern Hospitality, Courtney of French Country Cottage and me!

We were blogging friends before this trip, but sharing this adventure definitely brought us closer.  Being in a magical place will do that!

At one end of the living room is the formal dining table.

As we were eating outside at the 75 foot wooden farm table during our stay, this table was laden with silver candle sticks, gorgeous books about art, history, architecture, gardening, cooking, farming and more.  The resources of a renaissance man.

On the other side of the living room fireplace wall was the more casual sitting/family room.

In this room the juxtaposition of classic and contemporary design was most evident.  The slim lined metal chairs and standing lamp are right at home rubbing up against gilded frames and dark stained turned wood tables.

The mash up is seamless.  Each style benefitting from being paired with the other.

The kitchen is open the the sitting/family room.  That makes for wonderful flow for entertaining.

Speaking of flow, do you see how the color scheme and materials flow from one room to the next giving the house a cohesive feel? This should be everyone's #housegoals !
