If you're in the market for Spring table inspiration, you've come to the right place.

Today I am participating in the Styled & Set Spring Tour hosted by the talented Lory of Designthusiasm.

Welcome ~ maybe you are coming over from Becky's FarmhouseI love Becky's white farmhouse style!

Spring Table Inspiration

In setting my table, I was thinking of sharing a few some stolen hours with friends I don't see enough of in the course of our busy lives.

Setting the marble table in the kitchen feels informal, cozy and intimate, but using vintage Haviland Limoges china, crystal, linen and creating a unique floral makes it special.

I don't see enough of the ladies I love to be around.  Do you?

The friends who are 'fountains not drains'.  Those that fill me up & sustain me until we can meet again to share laughter, cares and plans.

So with these fountains in mind, I set this spring table.

The china is a set I scored at a yard sale recently.

Not all the pieces were in the box, but for $20 I was not going to pass it up.

Pretty much 11 of everything, except the espresso cups & saucers.  Only one cup & four saucers.  But a special plan came to mind for the sole cup.

I thought to fill it with tea roses & slide it under a cloche.

Cloches are so wonderful to use in decor.

Anything under glass takes on an elevated status.  I think my tiny floral rose to the occasion.

You can make a cloche out of any clear flat bottomed vase.  These can be found in droves at thrift store & yard sales.

Check out my tutorial on making a cloche HERE.

Pink is not a go to color for me, but spring & pink just seem to go hand in hand.  Tossing in a zesty green makes for a classic combination.

The green moss is a pop, adds texture and softens the edge of the cloche.

A set table has many hard surfaces.

Think of it, the table itself, the ceramics, the metal utensils & glass.  It is nice to incorporate soft, textured elements to counter balance the hard ones.

This table could easily transition to an Easter brunch table.

If I was serving for the holiday on this table, I would add in my egg place cards nestled in more of the green moss.  You can see those place cards HERE.

As many of you know, creating floral designs is one of my favorite things to do.  I particularly love to design in tiny unexpected vessels.  Such as this orphaned espresso cup and my collection of tea cups.

The June design in my book, My Soulful Home ~ a year in flowers, is one of my all time favorite tiny arrangements.  Have you seen it?

I hope that you welcome spring by surrounding yourself with your 'fountains' and flowers, of course ~ always flowers...

Leave a comment here with the name of a 'fountain' friend of yours.  Then make a promise to yourself to give a call, send an email/note or better still, invite them over to sit at your table this Spring!

In the meantime, treat yourself to a visit to all the blogs on tour this week.  You will find the links to each beautiful interpretation of spring below.
