If you have been visiting here for even a little while you know I like to use things in ways other than intended.
Burlap has not escaped this treatment, nor has scrub pads, heating ducts, pant legs & more.
Today I gathered up three of my favorite burlap projects to share.

Burlap Projects
Since I get asked about my burlap covered chandelier canopy by almost everyone who comes into my house, let's kick off with it.
Burlap Chandelier Canopy
Here is the tutorial.
Covering the wooden circle with the burlap & tapping in the nails is easy. My own project had a few more steps as the chandy I used was vintage & didn't come with a metal cover for the wires to thread thru. Go see what I used!

Burlap Covered Shelf

This project is even easier than the canopy. Basically just wrapping a plank of wood with burlap…here is the step by step tutorial for making a burlap covered shelf.
This project takes the 'open shelving' debate to whole new level….burning issue of our time!
Painted Burlap
In keeping with one of my mottos, "If it stands still long enough paint it". I share...painted burlap! Very texture-y.

Again, super easy. Just be careful not to get "blotchy". I tell you how to avoid that, along with the rest of the simple steps to a painted burlap transformation.
