Today I set a special table for you as part of the Styled & Set Tour organized by Lory of Designthusiasum.

If you are coming over from my friend Ann at On Sutton Place welcome!

I am really excited to share all that went into it and to see if you are like me and ride the holiday cusp.

You see, every year I have a hard time parting with my pumpkins.

After searching high and low for the elusive white pumpkins, lugging home Cinderellas and never able to resist a baby boo, I amass quite a patch every season.

So when Thanksgiving is over, but I am still not ready for full on Christmas, I like to ride the cusp with a transitional table.

Today I am sharing a fancy transitional table.  Probably not your everyday table ~ mine either, but you can get ideas from this display to work into any type of transitional table.

I also have some very special items on this table, which I know you will love to learn about.

The stunning embroidered linen napkins are from my friend Lidy at French Garden House.  Give yourself a treat & visit FGH.  Both Lidy's blog and shop are exquisite.  And... this week there is is very generous give away to French Garden House going on HERE.

Have a gander at these velvet pumpkins from Monya at Plush Pumpkin.  Visit Plush Pumpkin HERE.

I will search no longer for the perfect white pumpkin, as I now have an everlasting one...and a silver & gray one to make it a trio.  And, I could gush about the acorns too!

You can learn lots more about French Garden House & Plush Pumpkins and three other fabulous shops by listening to my podcast chat "Shop Small - Give BIG".  Just click the arrow to tune in and listen.

Let's get back to my transitional table...

I used a piece of plaid flannel from Joanne's as my runner.

A metal basket I found in my barn when we loved in to corral the pumpkins, pinecones, string lights & moss.

The baby boos weren't as white as I wanted them to be so I spray painted them with white chalk based paint.

A few sprigs of boxwood also got a spray - gold for them - and tucked in with the velvet pumpkins.

The little ornaments are from Restoration Hardware and were quite reasonably priced for a set in a little bag.

If your pumpkins aren't orange, I think they surely have a place on the transitional table.

All you need to do in order to ride the cusp is to keep it neutral, add a bit of metallic and a nod to both seasons/holidays.

You feeling it ~ I think you are riding the cusp with me already!

Now head on over to the other creative & inspirational bloggers touring with me today.  Coincidentally, Lidy at French Garden House is next on the tour, so you can go see her & the napkins right now!

I know you will really enjoy what each of the bloggers are sharing.  They are all my great friends and each one is a creative genuis!
